Adobe’s Behance, Adobe Color CC, and Creative Cloud apps have all been updated to include Apple Watch support in a move designed to both sell more iOS apps as well as inspire their current customers to get outside of the computer and create.

“That’s because designers get a lot of their best ideas,” writes Adobe’s David Macy, “not while sitting at our desks, but from interacting with and observing the world around us.”

The new Behance app will notify you via your new smartwatch to see your most meaningful daily stats from Adobe’s official creative community, bringing Inbox, Notifications, My Work, and Nearby features right to your wrist. You can also use it to remotely control Airplay presentations of a Behance project from your watch. Handoff will let you move from your Watch to your iPhone when you want to comment on something in your portfolio, and you can use the share dialog to post a link to Facebook, Twitter, or other social networking services.

Adobe Color CC lets you use geo-location to reveal various color themes that other Adobe Color users have captured nearby; swipe through the screens to see the themes, complete with name, distance, and map location it was originally captured. You can add these swatches to your Creative Cloud account and use in future projects.

The Apple Watch commercial showed the Creative Cloud app even before Adobe released it, but it’s live and real now. You can now monitor the CC for client feedback, new projects, design assets and the like right on your watch like a modern-day designer Dick Tracy. You’re also able to use the Watch app to view and reply to comments on your files, accept or decline invites to collaborate, and just keep working no matter where you are. Hooray?

All in all, it’s an exciting time in the personal digital device categories, and if you’re entrenched in the Adobe experience and getting an Apple Watch, you can jump to this new way of collaborating today.
