Andy Rooney once quipped that anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there’s a 90% probability you’ll get it wrong.
With that sentiment in mind, a new Kickstarter campaign is in the process of raising funds for a fantastic project: a fully reversible, nigh-unbreakable USB Lightning charging cord for your iPhone. Check out the video after the jump.
Not only can the USB charger be inserted whichever way up you hold it, but it’s also described as being extremely durable. So confident are the team of this fact that they’re even offering a lifetime warranty for it.
Last but not least, the so-called BelayCord is extremely attractive, with a colorful design reportedly inspired by climbing rope — meaning that it won’t suffer any of the discolorations of your regular white iPhone charging cable.
Overall it’s definitely a neat invention. Apparently I’m not alone in thinking so, either, since the project has already raised upwards of $215,000 against a $4,000 goal.
