Get To A Saved Draft Faster On Your iPhone or iPad, Part Two [iOS Tips]

Draft iOS Mail

We’ve shown you how to get to an email draft on your iPhone before by tapping and holding on the Send button to bring up your most recent draft. At the time, though, that only brought up a single email, typically the last draft you had written.

These days, however, there’s a new thing happening, with a list of more than one draft appearing (if you have more than one). Here’s how to make that happen.

Launch Mail app on your iPhone, and view an Inbox from one or all of your mail accounts. Down in the bottom right is the little “New Email” button, the one that looks like a square with a pencil in it. Tap and hold that button, and a list of all the more recent draft emails will slide up from the bottom. You can tap New Message from this new screen, as well, or tap into any of your currently stored drafts.

On the iPad, it’s even more slick. When viewing one or more Inboxes, tap and hold the New Email button, as above. In the iPad’s case, though, you’ll get a little drop down box with the New Message button and all your recent drafts ready to tap through to. It doesn’t take over the whole screen, as it does on the iPhone. Neat!
