Apple TV+’s show about a news network is experiencing the calm before the storm as its second season nears its conclusion.
The whole staff of The Morning Show is still reeling from Mitch Kessler’s death and everyone’s putting up a brave front. But with a tell-all book about the show’s sleazy inner workings on the way, the mood is panicked and stricken.

Mitch is dead — long live Mitch. This week on The Morning Show, everyone must deal with the death of their network’s former sex pest lead anchor — and things could go much better than they do. Alex is missing. Chip is throwing up. Cory is elated. And Mia’s beside herself. Can they clean themselves up in time to break the news?
It’s borderline impossible to take the Apple TV+ drama about a morning news show seriously now. But there are still three episodes of plot left this season. Can The Morning Show manage anything worthwhile before the curtain falls?

This week on The Morning Show, veteran anchor Alex Levy tracks down her shamed former colleague Mitch Kessler in Italy and demands an ass-covering statement before she returns to the states.
Of course, nothing is ever simple on Apple TV+’s show about the morning news and the nightmarish people who produce it. COVID-19 is ramping up, and Alex won’t be able to leave Italy even if she wants to. So she’s stuck with Mitch, the last place she wants to be.
This is a fine episode from the standpoint of the performances of The Morning Show’s big stars and the writing that paints their characters as believable human beings. It’s also the single worst episode of television you could hope to air right now — a phalanx of bad decisions that would shame an entire season of The Newsroom.

This week on The Morning Show, Maggie Brener’s book is about to come out. Alex is having a panic attack. Chip is having a crisis of confidence. Cory’s on the attack. And Bradley’s having the time of her life.
Apple TV+’s showbiz show juggles tones and sympathies — and drops several of the balls along the way. Things gets good, and then bad, and then good again. It’s time for The Morning Show writers to make some hard choices about which direction to head. Well … it was time weeks ago, but now will do just fine.
We know Mitch (played by Steve Carell, left) is a creep. Why can't this show let him go? Photo: Apple TV+
Alex is back on The Morning Show and the ratings are up, but is everyone happy? Her presence has everyone scrambling to prove that they’re on the right side of things. Meanwhile, disgraced former anchor Mitch just won’t go away.
Apple TV+’s inside look at the world of TV broadcast journalism stands at a precipice — and just below are mountains of crisis.

The Morning Show gets ready for the triumphant return of Alex Levy, even as current events spiral and everyone sweats bullets. Can Cory keep the newscast together long enough for it to return?
As the Apple TV+ drama grapples with COVID-19 in its second season, the intra-office drama intensifies.

Apple TV+ earned 19 Emmy Awards nominations, including several for The Morning Show, a star-studded drama that was a highlight of the streaming service’s launch last autumn.
That’s not bad for the first year of eligibility for Apple TV+. However, Netflix totally dominated the 72nd annual Emmy Awards nominations, which were revealed Tuesday by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The world’s biggest streamer took home an astonishing 160 Emmy noms. HBO limited series Watchmen scored the most nominations of any single series with 26.

Jennifer Aniston earned a Screen Actors Guild award for her portrayal of embattled news anchor Alex Levy in The Morning Show.
The former Friends star, who also co-produces the Apple TV+ show, won for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. Aniston beat out Olivia Coleman of The Crown and Jodie Comer of Killing Eve.
Jennifer Aniston added to her nomination pile with a nomination for best female actor in a drama series. And Steve Carell and Billy Crudup both earned nominations for outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama series.

Apple TV+ service launched this morning. And, with it, The Morning Show, Apple’s star-studded drama about the goings-on at a morning news show.
It stars Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell. With that cast, it’s an illustration of the ambitions Apple has for creating top-tier entertainment for its streaming show. But is it any good? Here’s what I made of the first episode.

Remember that story about how the logo for The Morning Show, one of Apple TV+’s flagship shows, looked suspiciously like the logo for Elon Musk’s The Boring Company? It turns out that may have been a bad omen.
Ahead of Apple TV+’s November 1 launch, the first reviews are out for its star-studded newsroom drama/comedy starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell. And, well, they’re far from the blockbuster reviews Apple likely hoped for from its show that costs more than Game of Thrones.

Jennifer Aniston says production on Apple’s first TV show, The Morning Show, basically had to be completely rebooted once Matt Lauer got fired from Today.
The pilot for The Morning Show originally focused on the cutthroat world of morning TV. In a new interview, Jennifer Aniston explained that all of that had to be reshaped after the #MeToo movement took a head-on collision with one of the biggest male TV show hosts.

Apple’s original series The Morning Show has yet to air a single episode and already, the show has made television history.
Apple TV+, the upcoming streaming service, is reportedly spending more money to produce a single episode of the morning news drama than HBO did for episodes during the epic final season of Game of Thrones.

The first full trailer for The Morning Show makes Apple’s upcoming series look a lot more serious than the goofy onstage presentation at Cupertino’s March keynote let on.
The Apple TV+ show, which stars Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell, looks very #MeToo-era. It could prove pretty darn interesting if it lives up to the trailer, which Apple released this morning.

Captain America star Chris Evans is already hard at work on his next project now that Avengers: Endgame is nearly ready to hit theaters.
Evans was spotted on the set of his upcoming TV series, Defending Jacob, which is being made for Apple TV+. Evans shaved his beard for Endgame but it looks like it’s making a comeback in the Apple TV series.

Former Bruce Almighty co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Steve Carell were spotted reuniting on the set of their new Apple TV series about a morning TV show news crew.
The show started principal photography back at the end of October 31 but this is the first time we’ve seen photos of the two actors on set. Both Aniston and Carell are making their returns to TV after launching successful movie careers following Freinds and The Office.

The full cast of Apple’s morning TV show comedy is starting to take shape after two more actors have signed onto the project.
Billy Crudup and Gugu Mbatha-Raw have joined the cast for the untitled Apple TV series that lists Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston as both executive producers and stars of the show.

Steve Carell is finally making his return back to the small screen after reportedly signing a deal to join one of Apple’s new TV shows.
Apple struck a deal with Carell to star alongside Jennifer Anniston and Reese Witherspoon for its comedy TV series about a struggling morning TV show. The role will be Carell’s first since starring in The Office.
