Today’s featured computer setup pretty much has it all in terms of enviable gear, though it could use better lighting. Its M1 Max Mac Studio may not be the latest Apple M-series desktop, but it’s still formidable. And it drives a Pro Display XDR, perhaps the ultimate external monitor. And the setup even excels at the little things, including great audio gear and a pair of illuminated pegboard stands I’ve never seen before.

I want everything in this Mac Studio and Pro Display XDR setup, including pegboard stands
There's no better monitor for your Mac than Apple's 32-inch Pro Display XDR. Apple even sells a variant with a nano-texture glass that helps cut down on unwanted glare.
- Incredible 6K resolution
- Generous screen space
- Nano-texture glass option
- Expensive, and options add more cost
Even though the headlining Mac Studio isn’t shown, Redditor DMG41 showed off a lot of cool gear in a post entitled, “My office setup,” including Apple’s vaunted 6K Pro Display XDR. So while the M1 Max Mac Studio is hidden in a drawer or mounted under the desk, it drives a great display. And a powerful M4 MacBook Pro and iPad Pro sit in the mix, along with a Magic Trackpad and the ever-popular-if-slightly-boring Logitech MX Keys keyboard (for me it would be a great backup in case my Logi mechanical keyboard fails).
All good so far. But it gets even better. First off, there’s a pair of excellent Audioengine A5+ Powered Bookshelf Speakers that pump out 150 watts of sound. And then, just outside of those in the photograph, something I’ve never seen before caught my eye. But not just mine.
‘Sick’ pegboard stands: Nanoleaf Desk Docks
This Nanoleaf "smarter kit" includes a pegboard stand that lights up, in addition to Wi-Fi connected RGBW LED dimmable light panels and a shelf.
- Pegboards included
- Features 9 light panels and 1 shelf
- 16-million-color LED dimmable lighting
- Expansion gets pricey
“What are those stands?” asked a commenter. “They are sick.”
DMG41 identified the little tower-like stands as “Nanoleaf desktop peg boards” in his answer and as “Nanoleaf Desk Docks” in his gear list. The maker appears to call them Nanoleaf Pegboard Desk Docks. In any case, you can buy the pegboard stands by themselves or as wall panels as part of a larger pack of Nanoleaf items. Check out both options in the gear list below.
They’re standing pegboards you can mount almost anything on — in terms of small stuff, anyway. DMG hangs a PlayStation 5 controller on one (left) and his enviable Sony WH-1000XM5 wireless over-ear noise-canceling headphones on the other (right; and in case you don’t know, these cans are at or near the top of every best-of-their-kind list out there). And like pretty much anything from Nanoleaf, the stands light up in various ways.
Pro Display XDR screensaver/wallpaper
And if you like the wallpaper on the screen, you might be able to find it in some form.
“Actually that’s a screensaver,” DMG said in reply to a question. “It’s just called Pro Display XDR screensaver. There is a wallpaper of it as well if you search it.” So here it is, among others.
