Update: Shares of Apple surged 1.1 percent in premarket trading on Tuesday following Legere’s comments.

According to charismatic T-Mobile CEO John Legere, reports about a supposed lack of interest in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are way overblown.

How overblown? In a live Periscope chat with customers, Legere said that T-Mobile’s iPhone 7 orders are shaping up to be four times those of the enormously popular iPhone 6.

The iPhone 7, he noted, “is a big, big deal.” Who are we to disagree?

The war between Microsoft and Apple may be as synonymous with the 1990s as grunge music, Alicia Silverstone and MTV playing music videos, but it seems that some folks just can’t let go of the past.

That’s based on Microsoft’s latest ad for the Surface Pro 4, which takes aim at the MacBook Air by pointing out that users of Apple’s laptop don’t possess the ability to sketch on screen using a stylus in the way that Surface Pro 4 customers can.

Cult of Mac 2.0 bugThis is the third story in a three-part series on jailbreaking iOS.

When Melissa Archer learned she would die at the hands of a serial killer, she made one last request: “I asked if I could have a death scene because I am a nerd.”

Her death had significance. It meant a long run as a mainstay and fan favorite of daytime soap operas was about to go on hiatus. It also meant she would have more time to devote to another passion — jailbreaking iPhones and inventing new features.

Apple may have used “Think Different” as a marketing slogan once upon a time, but there is a kind of underground network of iOS developers who claim the two words as a reason to exist.

But with their idea of “Think Different,” they add this: “Look Different.”

September is an exciting month for bargain hunters. Not only does it bring us one step closer to the holiday season — which is the best time of year for many big-ticket items — but this month is also a great time to stock up on a variety of items, thanks to a small overlap in Labor Day, summer clearance, and back-to-school sales.

While the end of summer may be upon us, the best deals of the year are only now just beginning. Check out our guide below for tips on the best things to buy in September. (Unfortunately, it’s not a good time to score a deal on the iPhone 7 or an iPad, but other Apple items should be on sale.)

Cult of Mac 2.0 bug When James Savage and John Leake uploaded the first episode of their RetroMacCast, they were thrilled with the number of downloads: 18.

Not exactly a meteoric start, but considering neither host ever had that many people at one time interested in hearing them talk about old Apple computers, this was a pretty big deal.
