The first beta builds of iOS 10.1 and macOS Sierra 10.12.1 have been made available to members of Apple’s public beta testing program today after devs got a first look at the changes yesterday.
Hot off his genuinely hilarious skit with Tim Cook at the start of the recent iPhone 7 media event, James Corden is back alongside Apple executives for a new ad for Apple Music.
Playing himself, Corden pitches various off-the-wall concepts for an Apple Music ad, to more and more bemused reactions from Apple execs Jimmy Iovine, Eddy Cue and Bozoma Saint John.

Tim Cook appeared on Good Morning America today, in which he defended Apple’s decision to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack and reaffirmed the pro-AirPod message that “wireless is the future.”
“When you decide on what the future is, you want to get there as soon as you can,” Cook said. “That jack takes up a lot of space in the phone, a lot of space. And there’s a lot of more important things we can provide for the consumer than that jack.”

Apple has added movie star turned business woman Jessica Alba to the cast of its first unscripted TV Series, Planet of the Apps, and just like her future co-hosts Will.i.Am and Gwyneth Paltrow, she’ll use her nonexistent coding skills to “mentor” developers.

Apple just sent out press invitation to a special event to be held September 7 at 10 a.m. Pacific. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to be unveiled at the event, which will be hosted at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.
It’s been almost five years since Tim Cook was named Apple CEO, and during that time the company has seen some pretty incredible highs. But there have been some significant lows, too.
The recent fall in iPhone demand is perhaps the most significant setback, leading to Apple’s first quarterly decline in revenue in 13 years. Cupertino has also been criticized for releasing unpolished products and buggy software in recent years.
