Samsung may have strenuously previously denied that it, but evidence is mounting that the company is indeed rushing to release the Galaxy Note 5 ahead of the iPhone 6s.

According to a new report, Samsung plans to launch the device in mid-August — one month earlier than previous incarnations of the Note, which typically arrived in September.

Apple tends to focus on internal components rather than external changes when it comes to its incremental “s” releases.

However according to a new leaked schematic, this year the company might think a bit different — with a slightly redesigned iPhone body that, surprisingly enough, could turn out to be marginally thicker than last year’s model.

Rumors that the iPhone 6s will receive a new 12-megapixel camera with 4K video recording got a boost today — thanks to a document allegedly leaked by a Foxconn employee.

The document also suggests that the iPhone 6s’ front-facing camera will receive a massive upgrade from the 1.2-megapixel sensor found in current iPhones thanks to a new 5-megapixel sensor.

More and more evidence is racking up that Apple will introduce its Force Touch technology — previously seen in the Apple Watch and recent MacBook models — as a chief feature for the upcoming iPhone 6s.

According to a new report citing industry sources, Apple has upped its orders for the flexible printed circuit boards necessary for incorporating Force Touch into its next-gen iPhones — with its main FPCB suppliers being Zhen Ding Technology and Flexium Interconnect.

iPhone 6s fear could make Samsung rush to release Galaxy S7

Samsung may crank out new smartphone models by the bucket-load, but up until now its flagship Galaxy phones have only arrived at a rate of one generation per year.

That may be about to change, since a new rumor claims that fear of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6s could drive the panicked South Korean tech giant to rush forward its Galaxy S7 — in order to coincide with the expected September launch of Apple’s next-gen handset.

Because rushing products out so as to be able to yell “first” always works out well for you, right Samsung?

After leaving customers hanging when it came to quickly fulfilling early iPhone 6 and Apple Watch orders, Apple’s reportedly taking no chances with the iPhone 6s.

According to Pacific Crest analyst Andy Hargreaves, Apple has upped its order volume for the next-generation iPhone to avoid disappointing customers — and lowering Apple stock prices as a result.
