Best List: Gabba 2 Convertible Jacket

If one Gabba is excellent, then Gabba 2 has to be better.

The Gabba 2 Convertible Jacket is just that — Gabba turned up a notch.

Take what was the highly popular and highly functional original Gabba jersey, add some removable sleeves, and the Gabba 2 jacket is the perfect on-the-road companion.

This jersey/jacket has all the benefits of the original: Windstopper wind-resistant technology, grippy waistband, excellent zippers and amazing breathability.

At first I couldn’t figure out why on earth anyone would want zip-off sleeves and then I realized they didn’t design the sleeves to be removed during the ride, but to add versatility to my suitcase while I travel. I packed this one jacket on a recent trip south and did indeed end up zipping off the sleeves for one ride where the temperatures did not call for long-sleeves, but did call for weather protection. The butt flap worked flawlessly and I did not overheat.

There is a reason why the Gabba is thrown around during crappy-weather rides, and while the competition is now stiff in the category of cycling apparel, I would say Gabba 2.0 is a winner.
