iOS 13 GM — the final beta build of iOS 13 and iPad OS 13 — finally arrived today, after Apple revealed the public launch date for the huge software update.
After its big iPhone 11 keynote today, Apple said iOS 13 will launch on September 19. That’s one day before new iPhones hit stores. Developers can already get the launch version, though, thanks to the iOS 13 GM seed Apple released today alongside iOS 13.1 beta 3.
Apple’s press event today included the iPhone 11 series as well as updated iPad and Apple Watch versions. However, some rumored devices, features and accessories failed to materialize.
Most notably, the company didn’t announce a line of item-tracking tags, and the latest iPhones can’t wirelessly charge other devices. And there are other predictions that didn’t come true.

Following up on the success of the iPhone XR, Apple unveiled the iPhone 11 this morning that sports a new aluminum and glass body and two amazing rear cameras that could make it the most attractive iPhone to most people. It’s cheaper price tag doesn’t hurt either.
A new type of display allows the just-announced Apple Watch Series 5 to be on all the time. This is also the first version with a compass, and Apple is making its wearable in new materials.

Apple TV+ is coming to screens on November 1, with a surprisingly low price of just $4.99.

Long-time Apple chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has reported new record revenue for the month of August. This follows shortly after leading Apple manufacturer Foxconn announced similar records.
TSMC’s August revenues hit a record high of $3.4 billion for the month. That’s a 25.2% increase sequentially and 16.5% on year.
