WTF iPhone App Of The Week: Babies

Babies? Yes, babies! That’s all it is! Babies!

Isn’t there a law against this or something?

Wait – there’s two apps here. Babies and Babies Free.

The only difference I can see between them is that Babies costs a dollar and is described as: “Look at babies until you cannot look at babies no more! There is no end to the babies!”

Whereas Babies Free is merely “All the babies you will ever want to look at!”

I see, so there’s a clear functionality difference here. The free Babies app imposes restrictions on the amount of baby viewing. Users are limited to just the babies they will ever want to see; to see babies until you can no longer do so requires the pro-level upgrade. Figures.

So that’s all cleared up then.

so i take it that this app has something to do with looking babies then?

  3. the truth says:

if you look at enough babies, you are more likely to have them. its a fertility app, stupid. there is nothing silly about this.

    i am dead serious.

    seriously.

    not funny.

baby imagery makes you have babies. serious.

This makes me wonder about the vetting process for the App Store. Why does garbage like this get greenlit, while I’ve been waiting close to two months for Qik to become available? Don’t hand me any nonsense about how “Qik is more intricate and required more diligent testing.” The jailbroken version has been working just fine for months, and Scoble, Rose, Calacanis and others have been happily using the “official” App Store build for a while now.

    Get with the program, Apple.

surely if you can no longer look at babies, you’re hardly likely to make a good parent are you? (obviously i’m not dissing blind people – i;m sure they make excellent parents( unless they stabbed their eyes out because the cannot look at babies any more ))
