Everyone’s favorite former Apple co-founder, Woz, gave a speech to Michigan State University grads last week, declaring: “Every time we invent a computer to do something else, it’s doing our work for us, making ourselves less relevant.”
He went on: “How does a computer ever create art, for example, if it can’t sense things that a human understands, like the wind on a beach. Well, our computers have gotten hearing and seeing, they’ve got feeling, touch sensitive; they can sense motion, just like our inner ear. Pretty soon we’re going to have holograms, which are much better than what you call 3D television. We’ve created a new species; no question. We’re creators and, like I said, we’re making ourselves less relevant.”
I, for one, welcome our new more-relevant computer overlords. They can do all the dull stuff to do with managing finances and designed sewage systems, and while we irrelevant humans go to the beach with a good book.

OK…. Woz can be credited as the inventor of the personal computer, and he brought a lot of creativity and talent to Apple in the early days. That being said, I really wish he would shut the hell up. What he says has become increasingly irrelvant over the years. While some of his comments are amusing, most are not.
What?
It is us who make ourselves less relevant.
Starting with gossips and wars.
Didn’t we create GOD ( like it or not, it is true! ), to end up fearing “it”?
Making ourselves less relevant compared with our own creation?

Boring things end up for the computer to do, while we get laid (depending of the book).
Actually, we didn’t create God. The creation of God happened a very long time ago, and obviously, he was and still is the best creation that will ever be in existence.
In regards to Woz’s statement, computers are being used for somethings that people have never done such as Bioinformatic techniques. People have never been able to do that because people are simply unable to read and align billions of DNA, RNA, and peptide sequences and utilize that information into phylogenetic trees and other expressions.
Before I read this article, I have to say….what’s up with Woz’s dress shirt?

I wasn’t joking that is my belief. We humans created God from fear.
If there is God, at best it will be our collective conscience, still our own creation ( only without a Master ).
There are and have been tons of Gods, of all kind.
Beleving in God even got Einstein in trouble, made him ignore what his math calculations demonstrated, that universe is ever expanding.
You clearly never bought clothes from fancy/expensive French houses.
