I just paíd $20.82 for an íPad 2.64GB and my boyfriend loves his Panasoníc Lumíx GF 1 Cámera that we got for $38.79 there arriving tomorrow by UP S.I will never pay such expensive retail príces in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch LCD T V to my boss for $657 which only cost me $62.81 to buy.

The drive and attention to detail of Steve Jobs and the aesthetic of Jonathan Ive have been so effectively embodied it’s like Apple Inc. is their collective clone but on a grand scale.  This creative mantra ensures Apple’s long term success.  The carefully groomed corporate culture ensures its short term success.  Apple has all the resources to maintain its competitive edge for a long LONG time.

I do wish Mr. Jobs well.  His enthusiasm for perfection transformed an industry and, without trying to be overly dramatic, the world.  He will be remembered as one of the true greats.  He has earned a change of career allowing him more time with those who truly matter; his loved ones.

As a consumer, I won’t miss him… as an admirer, well, that goes without saying.

Although this is sad news, it’s not really difficult to imagine Apple without Steve Jobs, since we already have a precedent. Besides, the philosophy, inspiration and guidance of Steve Jobs lives on, and will continue to do so long into the future.

Will Apple be the same without Steve Jobs as CEO? To help answer that, ponder this. Lets say you have a favorite restaurant you frequent, at this restaurant there is a head chef who oversees everything about the preparation and serving of the food. Then this head chef resigns. The restaurant can still prepare the same dishes from the same recipes, but will the food taste the same? Will people still like the food? People may still like the food but it will never be exactly the same as it was. So that takes us back to the question. Will Apple be the same without Steve Jobs? NO. Will people still have a passion for Apple products? That depends on the new cook, Tim Cook.

I think that Jobs spent an awful lot of time putting together the best management team in the industry to keep this company on top without him.

hello, i am french, my english is a bit carzy, so please be nice when i make my mistake

normally, french people hate american people but i am very sad that steve job is dead

  12. Julius Pap ? says:

tout le monde dĂ©teste française Grecs, mĂŞme? mais Steve Jobs n’est pas mort, mais pas PDG d’Apple plus

  13. gareth edwards says:

not dead, not gone, just more relaxed.

  14. Antonio says:

Yeah…yeah…we also very sad that all french people did die this morning!
The world with out french will be sad…but then again…who cares?

  15. Antonio says:

Your restaurant all ready proved since 2004 that can cook without steve job.
And Cook as been doing a really good JOB on replacing Steve for a few years now.
So the new chef as today to work with the same old recipes. He as just NO choice,
follow the recipes or go – And remember that mr. Job would never go if he was not sure that the new chef would follow is recepes 100%. We all know Steve Job…he would never appointed Tom Cook if he ad 1% doubt about is success.

  16. markypants says:

Thanks for being so honest, normally Americans hate French too. You will survive though as apple never made bottle openers or cheese knives.

Business as usual for a couple of years….. When the day comes Steve Jobs can no longer man handle Apple or passes away, I give Apple 3-4 years before it stops being innovative and turns into Microsoft post Bill Gates. Where the board will see fit to bleed the brand for every penny like some hollywood trilogy series.

  18. Rolando Gamez says:

I’d like to vote “status quo” , but thiere is only one way to go from the top!

  19. Ed_Kel says:

I think Apple may become more “corporate”. Tim Cook always looks to be financially savy while Steve Jobs looks “innovative”; that is at least what I see in this picture. I do think, however, that Apple is at the point to where there are enough brilliant people there to keep Jobs’ legendary innovation alive.

    Change is good.

  20. Ed_Kel says:

Wanna know why I hate the French? Because they are too stupid to realize the difference between death and resignation.

  21. Ed_Kel says:

I don’t think I have ever seen a more right on analogy! Way to pull it together at the end there!

But Antonio’s right. I don’t think Jobs would have left his legacy in the hands of someone who wasn’t capable of following his “recipes” 100%. I don’t think we’ll see much change out of Apple. There are plenty of people there that are plenty capable of keeping Apple’s innovation alive.

  22. FRENCHSMELLBAD says:

What? he is not dead, he resigned. The part when you said “normally, french people hate american people” was totally uncalled for, and I found it very insulting. Maybe you should select a different news feed in france that actually has it’s facts straight.
