Verizon may have dropped its “New Every Two” promotion before the advent of the Verizon iPhone, but that’s not to say they don’t want to help some of their existing customers along with an upgrade.
In fact, Verizon has just announced a deal that should make many existing subscribers pretty happy: if you purchased a new smartphone, feature phone or certified pre-owned phone from the end of November 2010 to the beginning of January, Verizon will give you some money back for missing the Verizon iPhone announcement by just this much.
How much money can you expect to get back? If you upgraded or signed up for a new phone between November 26th, 2010 and January 10th, 2011, you’re eligible to get $200 back on a VISA gift card, as long as you buy the iPhone 4 at full retail price and return your existing phone.
Not a bad deal, especially if you’re smacking the heel of your palm into your forehead and calling yourself an idiot for not waiting just a few months longer for the Verizon iPhone.
