New York Sen. Charles Schumer is speaking out about a .380-caliber gun disguised as an iPhone, which he says is a “disaster waiting to happen.”

Schumer called on the Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to look into the iPhone gun — and possibly ban it — before it comes to market.

The $395 weapon is being produced by a company called Ideal Conceal, which notes in its promotional literature that: “Smartphones are EVERYWHERE, so your new pistol will easily blend in with today’s environment.”

Ironically (well, at least in the Alanis Morissette sense), Schumer last year spoke out about an iPhone case disguised as a gun. There have previously been cases of dangerous iPhone cases — including the Yellow Jacket iPhone stun gun case, which delivers 650,000-volt shocks to assailants — a Knucklecase that turns your iPhone into a set of brass knuckles, and more.

Last year, one of Europe’s busiest airports was brought to a panicked standstill after a passenger thought it was a smart idea to travel with an iPhone case resembling a gun.

Does the world really need an iPhone gun? I guess this is more of an issue than I’d previously thought!

It’s only an issue to this guy. Hate to say it but Schumer’s constant whining is getting old. The other party has been saying it for years and I’m starting to see what they mean. This guy spends so much energy bring attention to trivial issues instead of fixing the big ones.

Absolutely! An ISIS member trying to blend in with everyone else at the airport heading to Washington with one of those is clearly not an issue.

Sounds like something perfect for those who do not have paid security 24/7, like Sen Schumer. Hey Senator, before you ask the general population to go with out protection, how about you do the same?

More bad news for Apple. Stop and frisk all people using iPhones. Just crazy.

  4. Bob Forsberg says:

Schumer would ban our US military from having firearms during an ISIS attack on American cities because a civilian might be hit by a ricochet.

  5. Debby Ward says:

the only terrorism in the US comes from our own govt trying to false flag frighten people. Back the phuck off already.

  6. A_Chinese_Man says:

How is this not a disaster waiting to happen… It’s practically impossible to identify until a bullet has been fired. I mean, right to bear arms and all but give me one scenario where by having a firearm disguised as a phone is better protection than just having a normal firearm???

Fumbling with two hands and the swing-down handgun grip would be a tipoff. I have a 5-shot .357 mag Smith & Wesson revolver with an internal hammer. It can be carried and fired repeatedly from my coat pocket without needing to remove it. How is that not a “disaster waiting to happen””
