So what we have here is a MacBook Pro slathered in so much 24 karat gold and multi-colored sapphire encrustation that you’d think it was a rapper’s bridgework. In fact, the guys over at Computer Choppers took this whole crazy idea so far that they even gold-plated the keyboard.
You know what they say: one man’s bling is another man’s vomitsome eyesore. Check out more pictures after the jump.

Personally, I love my aluminum unibody Macbook Pro as it is… maybe if I had the cash to spare I would commission one machined out of solid titanium stock, but this is just plan tacky!
The sort of thing someone with loads of cash and little taste would purchase!
OMG, the title of this post made me spit coffee out of my nose. Thanks…

That must be ridiculously dense.
It must really suck when that things gets hot!
OMG how much would that thing cost – i heard bill gates has put in an order ;)
it looks bloody ridiculous
Middle Eastern royalty have to spend our petrodollars on SOMETHING.
All we need now is a big, thick gold chain so we can wear it around our necks…
I don’t like it. I think the gold makes it look ugly but meh. If I had the money I would have to buy it.
It looks tacky. 24 karat gold isn’t that strong. It’s too soft to form a durable shell.
What do you mean ‘ours’. You don’t go buy something from a shop and when the shop owner buys a new car you don’t go on saying look what he’s doing with my money. I pity people like you. If you hate the fact that they have ‘your’ money, then stop using your bloody car and bike to work.
That looks disgusting. The aluminium MBP looks more classy than that POS.
Figures that your comment was made by someone with the name ‘Omar’.
You misinterpret me if you think I have hate for that. Mostly I find ostentatious displays of wealth, such as gold-plating everything, ridiculous and laughable. Like Saddam’s gold-plated AK-47. What a joke.
Although I loath such displays of pointless extravagance, I don’t think it is fair for you to say that it’s your money that they are spending.
I’m Indian btw… and no I don’t have a lot of cash to burn
