Apple and Star Wars: A match made in a galaxy far, far away?
Apple and Star Wars are forces to be reckoned with. These two cultural powerhouses deliver endless entertainment and inspire extreme fandom.
Mash the two of them together and you’ve got the technocultural equivalent of an atom smasher. Or a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Or something.
Anyway, to mark unofficial Jedi holiday May the 4th, we’ve rounded up our favorite Apple-Star Wars mashups, from great visual puns to Jony Ive-inspired concept art. (Note: Apple is celebrating May the 4th with a big sale on Mac and iOS Star Wars games.)

Concept artist Martin Hajek seems to like Star Wars almost as much as he does Apple. He recently reskinned BB-8, the adorable new droid from upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, in Apple colors: space gray, silver and gold.

BB-8 wasn’t Hajek’s first time at the Apple-Star Wars space rodeo. He previously dreamed up this iSaber lightsaber, which shows what the Jedi weapon would look like if it was designed in California.
