I’ve waited two+ years now to replace my 6 year old iMac for this. And now that it’s coming I don’t think I want it. It’s not very upgrade-able and will most likely be way out of my price range.
But of course DcDevito. They price their Mac Pros at the cost of a 4K TV. $4k.
I think it’s going to be even higher than that.
Part of me thinks they will still offer the Mac Pro in the old case as well.

No they will not because Apple does not sale that many Mac Pros in the first place. Second, production line efficiency and economics dictate the company only makes one model.
