Shareef Allman, suspected of killing three and wounding seven in a rampage yesterday, has been shot and killed in Sunnyvale.
The search for Allman, 47, shutdown campuses at Apple and Hewlett-Packard yesterday as well as a number of local schools.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Jose Cardoza said authorities shot a suspect near 934 Lorne Way in Sunnyvale at 7:20 a.m. Allman’s body is reportedly still lying under a tarp in the driveway of a home on Thorne Way.
Allman, an employee of a Cupertino quarry, was at an early work meeting yesterday attended by around 15 employees.
Allman left the meeting, returned with an automatic rifle and a handgun then shot eight people, killing Mark Muñoz, 59, of San Jose; John Vallejos, 51, of San Jose; and Manuel Guadalupe Piñon, 48, of Newman. Among the seven people injured were Jesse Vallejos and Mike Ambrosio.
The female HP employee was shot in a carjacking attempt at an HP parking lot a few hours later by a gunman matching the description of Allman.
It is still not know why Allman opened fire on his co-workers.

This is a horrible tragedy and certainly qualifies as news on most news sites. But what does it have to do with a Mac site other than it is in Cupertino?
he shot steve jobs
This is one block away from other Apple buildings. (i.e the buildings that will come down for the 2nd Apple campus)
Those Apple buildings were on lock down during the police search for the suspect the day before.
I realize that and now I guess I am just being picky, but this article is about the shooter being killed today and had nothing to do with the campus being locked-down yesterday. I realize it is likely just a follow-up piece, but it still seems like this is the wrong site for this kind of news. In the big picture though, It doesn’t matter what they post, nor what I think is appropriate for this site. ;)
sorry, but that is in poor taste
LAME! poor taste
