Following Apple’s unveiling of the iPhone 4S on Tuesday, Sprint has finally updated its website to notify customers that it will be carrying the iPhone. Pre-orders for the iPhone 4S begin on October 7, but pre-orders for the iPhone 4 on Sprint are now being taken.
Having waited for the iPhone for so long, we assumed Sprint would announce the news on its site shortly after Apple’s ‘Let’s talk iPhone’ event earlier this week, but it took the carrier a little while to get its website updated.
Sprint will join AT&T and Verizon in the U.S., and a number of carriers in the U.K., France and Germany, which will be launching Apple’s fifth-generation iPhone on October 14.
Will you be pre-ordering your new iPhone from Sprint?

I will. I have been waiting for years for Sprint to have the iPhone. AT&T’s EDGE coverage in my small town is weak, the nearest AT&T 3G coverage is 35 miles away, and Verizon doesn’t even offer service here of any kind.
But Sprint has perfect coverage everywhere around here, and it is all 3G, so I will be among the first at the Sprint store to get a new iPhone 4Gs!
I’m a 10+ year Sprint customer with an Airave and 5 phones on a family plan. I’m about to order the iPhone 4S, but I’ll likely switch to AT&T as the voice and data coverage at my house are so poor.
I am a 7 year Sprint customer, with a 3phone family share plan. I just learned today that Sprint discontinued it’s Premier customer reward plan which would have given me a discount on the iPhone 4s. Under the premier program I got a yearly update. Now I am expected to pay full price for the iPhone 4s. Yeah right! Verizon application for new service already completed and approved. Switching tomorrow. I calculated I have paid around $20,000 in 7years to sprint. The sales rep at Sprint actually suggested I go to another carrier if u wasn’t happy there. And I will. I think Sprint is a sinking ship.
What do they charge for tethering?
I ordered the iPhone 4gs from Sprint. I have been with them for almost 11 years and I would never switch. I may be one of the rare ones, but I love Sprint! Great coverage, great customer service! I really wanted the iPhone as I have all of the other Apple products, but would not leave Sprint. Finallly, it is here and I could not be happier!
