iPhone users can now enjoy Spotify music for free, as long as you’re happy with shuffling through your tune. And even better news for iPad owners: the tablet version of the app treats you iPad as if it were a desktop machine, letting your listen to any music you like.
The music is ad-supported in both cases of course, but Spotify is a pretty great service, and with this update I’ll be keeping it around on my iPad for the times when I can’t find a track on my paid-up Rdio collection.
If you’re using the iPhone version, you can “listen to all your favourite artists and playlists in shuffle mode,” and on the iPad you can “play any song, anytime.”
Between this, Rdio and iTunes Match, I’m pretty much covered for music. Now if only there was a way to find new music I actually want to listen to…
