The new Soundcore AeroClip open-ear clip-on earbuds bring lasting comfort and awareness of surroundings without sacrificing sound quality, the Anker Innovations brand said Thursday. Clipping onto the ear, the bud speakers remain just outside the ear canal.

- Open design provides secure comfort
- 12mm drivers with enhanced bass
- Hear your surroundings
- No noise cancellation
- No ear seal to isolate sound
The innovative earbuds feature a flexible, open-ring connector with internal titanium wire that lightly but securely clips onto the ear’s cartilage. They’re similar to another set in the same style I reviewed recently (not really my bag, but they could suit plenty of other folks). This design choice keeps the speaker out of the ear canal. So it allows users to remain aware of their environment — a crucial feature for outdoor activities like running, walking or cycling through busy urban areas.
For iPhone users who find traditional earbuds uncomfortable during long listening sessions, the AeroClip’s open-ear design helps eliminate pressure and discomfort. Its acoustic chamber takes up 37% less space compared to Soundcore’s previous C30i model. The company also includes additional ear grips for users with smaller ears to ensure a secure fit.
12mm drivers and advanced AI
Despite their open design, the new buds don’t compromise on audio quality, Soundcore said. The AeroClip earbuds use 12mm titanium-coated drivers and advanced AI algorithms designed to enhance bass performance in real-time. iPhone and iPad users can further customize their sound profile through the Soundcore app available on the App Store.
Apple enthusiasts will appreciate the seamless Siri integration, with voice assistant access available through simple tap controls. The Full-Surface Tap Control feature also allows users to manage music playback and calls without reaching for their devices.
Substantial battery life

Battery life is substantial, with 8 hours of playback at 50% volume from the earbuds themselves. And you get an additional 24 hours from the charging case. That totals 32 hours of use before needing a power outlet. The fast-charging capability provides 3 hours of additional listening time after just 10 minutes in the case — perfect for Apple users on the go.
Other notable features include IPX4 water resistance for protection against sweat and light rain, and multipoint connection technology that allows simultaneous pairing with two devices. That’s ideal for users who want to switch between their iPhone and MacBook without reconnecting.
Call quality remains a priority with four beamforming microphones ensuring clear communication for both parties during FaceTime or regular calls.
