Although Cupertino never tips its hand ahead of time, past experience indicates you can set your watch (at least by the month) for their product refreshes, so no shock here: it’s now being reported that Apple will launch new MacBook Pros in the first half of 2011, which probably equates to a April 2011 timescale, along with new iMacs, which were last updated back in January.
Outside of that, there’s not many details, although Digitimes claims there will be “at least four upgraded MacBook Pros.” Since there’s only three MacBook Pros now — a 13-inch, 15-inch and 17-inch — I wonder if that fourth new MBP could be something a bit more daring, perhaps borrowing liberally from the new MacBook Air’s design philosophy.
On the iMac side of things, Digitimes is reporting a new panel size, which could mean either a larger aspect ratio or a different size factor entirely… I’m guessing one aimed at the cheaper end of the market which is currently embracing all-in-one nettops.

I can’t wait the release of the new imac. The computer market if increasingly becoming competitive . If apple wishes to maintain its top spot in the computer market it should do its utmost to impress mac fans with new features and new capabilities on the upcoming imac.
