Back in 1984, Steve Jobs didn’t wear an Apple Watch. Instead, he wore a Seiko Chariot timepiece, as seen in an iconic photo used on the cover of Time magazine after Jobs’ 2011 death.
While Jobs’ “heavily worn” original sold for $42,000 at auction last year, Japanese watchmaker Seiko and Tokyo retailer Nano Universe are teaming up to produce a small batch affordable replicas.
These identical watches — with 1,982 units sporting white faces and 300 sporting black faces — will set you back 20,000 Japanese Yen, which works out at a shade under $180. Granted, you won’t get any of the smart features you’d get on an Apple Watch, but you’ll certainly look smart in a different way.
Jobs was so fussy about the objects he owned that his house in Woodside, California, where he lived at the time of the photo, was practically bare. So it’s a testament to the quality of the Seiko Chariot that he not only owned one, but was happy to be photographed wearing it while clutching his beloved Macintosh 128K.

Sadly, getting hold of the new watch isn’t going to be easy. It’s a Japanese exclusive, which means you’ll either have to hop on a plane, start hitting up your friends and contacts there, or wait until a Chariot hits eBay.
The new Seiko Chariot watches will become available to buy March 10. Maybe set an alert on your Apple Watch!

Only $180, but I’m pretty sure with all of this press coverage these are going to be impossible to get. Probably a few people are going to buy hundreds of them to resell on eBay for like $1000.
I got paid 104,000 thousand dollars in 2016 by working from my house and I manage to earn that much by working part-time for 3 or sometimes more h daily. I used a money making opportunity I found on-line and I am excited that i earned so much money on the side. It’s very user friendly and I am just so thankful that i found it. It also doesn’t do anything…. and it’s not like anybody will know that it’s a replica of Steve Jobs’ watch
