The classic Red Dead Redemption, as well as the companion game Undead Nightmare, are now playable on iPhone and iPad. That should keep your weekend full.
In addition, SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit 2 and three other games launched on Apple Arcade.
Play Red Dead Redemption on Undead Nightmare on iPhone thanks to Netflix
Two epic Western adventures from Rockstar Games are now available for iPhone and iPad. Even better, they are free to everyone with a Netflix subscription.
Red Dead Redemption follows John Marston, a former outlaw tasked with bringing three members of his former gang to justice. It first reached consoles in 2010, where critics and players adored it. Undead Nightmare, a zombie-horror companion game, is now built into Red Dead Redemption.
The new version features the complete single-player experiences of both games and also include bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition.
Download Red Dead Redemption from the App Store. Playing requires a subscription to Netflix, but there’s no other charge.

SpongeBob SquarePants joins up with Plankton for SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit 2. They must put aside their differences and work together to recover the Krusty Krab’s missing fry cook station, locate Plankton’s mysteriously vanished inventions, and save Bikini Bottom from a devious mastermind whose identity remains just out of reach. It can be enjoyed on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.
The game joined Apple Arcade on Thursday, so playing comes with a $6.99 per month subscription. Plus 200+ other fun titles.
That list just grew, with three more games added on Thursday. That’s the oddly relaxing and satisfying PowerWash Simulator; award-winning roguelite Cult of the Lamb Arcade Edition; Subway Surfers+, which brings the world’s most downloaded mobile game — with completely uninterrupted gameplay — to the service; and NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM+, a 3D fighting game based on the massively popular manga and anime series.
