Opera Mini Approved On The App Store

After a wait of 20 days, Opera Mini has been approved by Apple for release to the App Store.

Opera Mini already works on many other mobile devices, and the company claims it has over 50 million users worldwide.

One of the things that makes Opera Mini different is data compression to speed things up. Every time you click a link, Opera’a proxy server grabs the original page and shrinks it down to a size better suited for your device – and that’s the copy that you download.

The speed test is pretty enticing stuff. I’m downloading my copy right now. Full review later today.
