Seven months after its debut, the official Reddit app has finally been optimized for iPad. The new interface lets you enjoy the most popular posts and the latest memes in all their high-resolution glory on the tablet’s larger screen.
The Reddit app was born after the company acquired Alien Blue, a popular third-party Reddit client, in October 2014. One of the things that made Alien Blue so good was its iPad interface, so it was a surprise when Reddit rebranded the app and offered support for iPhone only.
[contextly_auto_sidebar] But you no longer must put up with an oversize iPhone app when you use the app on iPad. Version 2.0 of the Reddit app, which is available to download now from the App Store, features a dedicated iPad interface that’s much nicer to use.
The new interface takes advantage of your iPad’s high-resolution display, making photos and videos more enjoyable. Sadly, it doesn’t bring any new features, but the update does include some fixes for problems with Reddit Live.

If you gave up on the official Reddit app while waiting for iPad support, it’s time to give it another shot. Go grab version 2.0 from the App Store now.
