The Mophie Portable Magnetic Stand folds flat but opens to hold up a MagSafe iPhone at a range of viewing angles.
Apple is impressed enough to make the stand an Apple Store exclusive.
Mophie Portable Magnetic Stand uses MagSafe
As part of the MagSafe system, Apple builds magnets into the back of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series. Mophie’s new stand uses these to connect to the handset.
It has two metal hinges that allow the viewing angle to be adjusted. It “securely holds iPhone at the perfect viewing angle, in portrait or landscape mode,” notes Mophie. “You’ll never miss a text or notification. It’s also the perfect companion for long video chats or streaming movies.”
As its name indicates, the stand is designed to be used on the go. When closed, it’s 3.0 inches by 5.8 inches by 0.8 inches and 0.3 pounds.
It’s covered in a fabric finish, and comes only in black.
Just so there’s no confusion, the stand is not also a charger. The user will need to plug a Lightning cable into their iPhone for that.

The Mophie Portable Magnetic Stand is available now on the Apple Store where it costs $39.95. It can also be purchased directly from Mophie’s parent company Zagg.
