Moft is way beyond its fundraising goal for its new Moft Snap Flow iPhone stand, which snaps to the handset magnetically and unfolds to give you a little organizer with pen and paper. Having raised more than 13 times the funding goal of $10,000 on Kickstarter, the accessories company will most likely put the new Snap Flow into production. With nearly 2,400 people financially backing it so far, there seems to be an appetite for the old-school accessory.
But in the meantime, you can pledge for one on Kickstarter at 20% off through July 31. So who needs a Samsung-style smartphone stylus (or Apple’s Notes app), anyway?
Moft Snap Flow iPhone stand with pen and paper
Moft — or MOFT, which stands for “mobile office for travelers” (who knew?) — describes the new magnetic Snap Flow as “a minimalist focus tool with pen, paper, organizer and stand to capture ideas and take daily action, turning inspiration into reality.” So it’s like an iPhone wallet for your ideas. And it’s almost defiantly analog, as Moft describes pushing back against digital overload, below.
If nothing else, Moft Snap Flow looks like a fascinating piece of origami. The “invisible pen” is particularly genius, as its short and slender form flattens out and slides right into the folded-up stand. The stand part is also “invisible,” as Moft describes it, folding out only when you need it. A little pad of paper also fits in there. And you can use the stand to display your notes or as an iPhone stand.
Why go analog in a digital world?

But you may wonder why Moft would go so analog in a digital world. After all, this thing is all about pen and paper, two items your devices may have replaced a long time ago. The company anticipated that question and answered it.
“Our attention is being hijacked daily,” Moft wrote on the Kickstarter page. “Some days, we organize our lives; most days, we take action. However, with all the tools available to collect and organize actionable information, we often get lost in using the tools rather than focusing on the information itself, resulting in daily time spent on ’empty work.'”
And it goes on: “Our mental energy is not infinite. The more we expend it on tasks without tangible results, the less focused we become on accomplishing meaningful work each day. So we need to streamline our daily actions — capture, organize, and act — into one loop habit tool, without any learning curve.”
Pledge through July 31 to get Moft Snap Flow soon
You can pledge with no reward simply to express belief in the project, Moft said. Or you can get 20% off the regular price with a pledge of $49 $39. Other amounts come with extras, like notebooks of paper to use with the stand. U.S. shipping is free.
