Moft released its cool, origami-style Snap Float Folio for iPad in 2022, offering a versatile four stand positions for the tablet. Now the company has updated the folio, reinforcing it and adding stronger magnets for a better hold, among other changes.
“In retrospect, yeah, stronger magnets would definitely improve the stand,” said Ed Hardy, Cult of Mac‘s reviewer of the original Snap Float. He loved it then, and it sounds like the new one’s even better.

Like the first Snap Float Folio for iPad — read Cult of Mac‘s 4.5-star review — the new version offer four stand positions and elevates an iPad as high as 3.6 inches.
“It’s a wraparound case too, but a brilliant design allows it to be folded into a stand that elevates the tablet so it’s well above the keyboard,” Hardy wrote about the original version. “I like it when watching video. It’s also ideal for use when the iPad is being used as an external display for a desktop Mac.”
Improvements to the new version amount to a new texture to folio’s leather, stronger magnets throughout and a reinforced design that makes the folio’s positions, including a 20-degree landscape mode, more stable than before.
Float Folio for iPad features:
- Four magnet-supported angles (two floating, two landscape)
- Two height options
- Polycarbonate material with vegan leather
- Snap-on/off design
- Jet black, sienna brown and light gray color choices
