If you count on MobileMe especially during the midnight hours, be warned: MobileMe is going down for maintenance tonight.
According to the official site, MobileMe account maintenance is set to take place between 22:00 and 23:00 PT tonight, December 14th, 2010. Mobile Me Sync Maintenance, on the other hand, will last an hour later, coming to a finish at 00:00 PT at 12/15/2010.
According to Apple’s notes, “Due to scheduled maintenance, some MobileMe members may be unable to sync between their computers, iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch or view their contacts and calendars at me.com. Normal service is expected to be restored at the end of the maintenance window. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
Shouldn’t be a big deal, and the scheduled times guarantee that if there are problems, Apple will be able to fix them before too many people notice them when they wake up the next morning. Still, be advised!
