This video shot with an iPhone 4S has a couple of great “We’re going to need a bigger boat” moments in it. Shot about 25 miles southeasy of Wrighstville Beach, the 18 foot Great White shark circled this 21 foot ship for a good half hour, occasionally slapping the side of the boat with its tail, probably to test how easily the boat of meat would capsize. Incredible.

How about an “NSFW language” alert, please?

The video quality stinks. Are you sure it wasn’t taken with an iPhone. 3G?

i’d shit happy golden turds if i ever got to see this in the wild like this – i’ve been obsessed with sharks since age 4, and it’s über rare to see a great white especially!

What about a “Guy talking is a douche bag” warning? WTF he want’s to shoot it?

  5. Buster says:

hey man, this video is NSFW Language… Well, only if you work at a crappy company that can’t stand a few droppings of the “F-word” by people whose minds are being blown by the fact that the world’s greatest predator was swimming along side their boat.

How come they didn’t see if the shark would take some bait and then they could have reeled him in.  Now that would have been a real fish story.

“Magnificent” or not… IF that monster is circling my boat ‘at a leisurely pace’ then I’m assuming he’s trying to get an angle on me so he can snatch me right off the boat and use me as a snack…. I’m motoring DIRECTLY outta there as fast as that boat will go… fishing lines snapped, cut or abandoned overboard…. I’m GONE….

  8. nthnm says:

Yea, I definitely wouldn’t have been that calm. A shark essentially the same length as my boat, circling it? No thanks.
