Fashion and photography go together like peanut butter and jelly, or Kentucky and Bourbon. So it’s not surprising that the newest Hipstamatic Pak, Made in America, is influenced by famed fashion photographer Chiun-Kai Shih, and released just ahead of New York Fashion Week. And it’s free throughout the 16th.

The FreePak contains the Old Glory case and Americana lens; the latter adds soft lighting and a little blur around the edges (you know, fashion-y), while the former is purely cosmetic. If you wait till the 17th, two new films (one color, one B&W) will be added to the Pak and the whole thing will cost a buck — still not bad if you’re jonesing for the films. of course, you’ll need to pop for the original app for all this also.

A shirt, scarf and pochette that match?! That was “OK” right after WWII, but not anymore.
