All signs point to Apple unveiling the iPhone 17e on February 19. Ahead of that, YouTuber Jon Prosser has shared the alleged renders of the phone.

Contrary to previous leaks, the renders show the iPhone 17e with a Dynamic Island on the front.

Dynamic Island on iPhone 17e?!

Multiple reports indicate Apple will announce the iPhone 17e on February 19, exactly a year after the iPhone 16e‘s debut. While initial leaks suggested the phone would ditch the notch for Dynamic Island, recent reports say otherwise.

Either way, the upcoming budget iPhone appears to be a minor refresh. The biggest upgrades will seemingly be a faster A19 chip and support for MagSafe wireless charging.

However, YouTuber Jon Prosser, known for his Apple leaks, has offered a first look at the iPhone 17e, and it appears to feature a Dynamic Island. Based on his renders, Apple supposedly plans to offer the phone in black, white and pink colors.

A big selfie camera upgrade

More importantly, Prosser says the iPhone 17e will use the same 18MP Center Stage front camera system as seen on the rest of the iPhone 17 series. If true, this would be a big deal. The new square sensor is not only bigger, but also radically changes how you take selfies.

There will be no other major design changes, with Apple sticking to a single 48MP rear camera. The remaining upgrades will purportedly focus on internal improvements. This will include an A19 chip, a more power-efficient C1x modem and built-in magnets for MagSafe.

Apple bumped the base storage on iPhone 17 to 256GB. But will supposedly not be the case with its upcoming cheaper sibling. Pricing will still start at $599 foer the base variant, with the 256GB model costing an extra $100.

With February 19 fast approaching, we won’t have to wait long to know how much of this leak holds up.
