Let us answer our own headline: no, it jolly well isn’t. Rather, it’s a pretty self-evident, tongue-in-cheek fake put forward by case and skin makers ZAGG.
How was it done? Well, you never actually get to see a good look at the iPhone 5’s supposedly bigger screen until the standard image at the end, so it looks like a custom box, an iPhone 3GS and a Photoshop to me.
What do you think? Obviously it’s bogus, but anyone got any alternative theories on how it was done?

There’s not even a front facing camera on it… No way would Apple go back to an old design and certainly not get rid of FaceTime camera.

As I said on Zagg’s website, I say its an iPod Touch with a case on it. There’s no flash for the camera, and a gap on the back around the dock connector port.

Real. iPhone 5 will take pictures with an invisible camera. It’s magical. The horrible looking dock connector is a security feature as nobody would want that. They just decided to ignore the FCC and get rid of the markings on the back. Additionally, the phone is so powerful that it does not need a flash. It will power the sun briefly. This is so bad I have to wonder why you even ran it?
Apple really need to have words with their packaging manufacturers; their registration is a little pissed.

Apple worked its magic to get that info off the CDMA version of the iPhone 4. You are right that it is fake, but that is not cut and dry reason for it.
fake oneeee!!!!! if you put iPhone 4 & the older iPhone because iPhone 4 is built in retina display you’ll notice that iPhone 4’s screen is much darker than the old iPhones + the design looks like iPhone 3G & the camera hole is smaller than the iPhone 4 but it should be bigger because it will be 8mp & we don’t know even if they’re gonna name it iPhone 4S or iPhone 5!
