The iPhone 8 has been spotted again ahead of its official debut this fall. This time, it’s in a super-sharp case render that provides a high-res look at its gorgeous edge-to-edge display.
Thanks to an ever-growing list of leaks, we already have a good idea of what the iPhone 8 will look like. Apple itself provided us with an inadvertent glimpse at its new design with graphics hidden in its HomePod firmware. Now we can take a clearer, closer look.
This render, posted on Twitter by ever-reliable leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks), shows the iPhone 8 inside a rugged case. As expected, the device has a larger display with incredible slim bezels, which extends beyond the front-facing camera to meet the top edge of the phone.

There’s a notch that houses that camera and new sensors for facial recognition, as well as the front-facing speaker. There is no Home button in sight, with recent leaks again suggesting that Touch ID will be relocated to the back of the device.
There’s nothing new here, but it is one of the best images of iPhone 8 so far — and it comes from an incredibly reliable source. This will almost certainly be the device Apple unveils this September alongside the more affordable iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus.

So they were having trouble in production cutting the notch at the top for the ear piece. Juck!! You also lost room to put the time and date in the header running across the top. Poor design. I’ll just keep my SE phone
thanks.
When did they ever have the time and date in the header?
I have the time in the middle of the header. Sometimes, it will have a lock icon until I unlock it. Then it will flash unlocked before showing the time. The only control I have over it is whether it’s 24 hour or 12 hours with am/pm.
You’re confusing “header” with “status bar”.
Omg Greg how will Apple continue without you buying one phone. Maybe think it over. For apples sake…
Jesz! Another man-child needing attention.
If I don’t like the looks of something, there is a good chance others don’t like it too. Unlike the weird antenna line pattern, this design element takes away a functionality without a replacement.
