Shipping times for the iPad 2 from the Apple online store have dropped today, with new orders now facing a wait of 2-3 weeks down from the previous 3-4 weeks. The new shipping times aren’t just U.S. specific either – they apply to every country in which the iPad 2 is currently available.
A reduction in the shipping delay of the second generation iPad is a sign Apple is clearly dealing with the overwhelming demand of the device’s international launch.
On March 25th the iPad 2 launched in, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Europe. Customers who weren’t lucky enough to get their hands on the device on launch day were facing a month-long wait for orders placed with Apple – and possibly even longer from third-party suppliers.
Before its launch internationally, a statement from Steve Jobs reassured customers that Apple are working hard to deliver enough iPads to meet the demand:
We’re experiencing amazing demand for iPad 2 in the US, and customers around the world have told us they can’t wait to get their hands on it. We appreciate everyone’s patience and we are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.

Apple store still says 3-4 weeks for me
Ordered 27 March. Originally quoted 3-4 weeks. Still no update.
I ordered one on March 16th and it’s said “Delivery by April 23” ever since, and I’ve been trying to stalk the local retail carriers with no success.
But today when I went to possibly get one of the 2-3 week iPads, when I was checking out it said that if I get it engraved it’s 2-3 weeks for shipping, but if I skip engraving it’s back up to 3-4 weeks…doesn’t make much sense to me.
When I ordered mine, I was given a delivery date for the 28th April. Does anyone know if these revised shipping times mean that we can expect our order times to fall?

Ordered mine March 24th (Blk 64GB 3G-GSM) and the order status still says Shipping April 21, Delivery April 26. According to reports in the user shipping thread on Apple.com (can’t find link offhand), they’re shipping early though. One person was originally slated for April 7th and received his on March 30th, so I’m hopeful that I and everyone else receive ours earlier as well.
Ordered mine, March 25th (AT&T 64GB 3G Blk) with delivery date of April 28th. I am hoping this news mean I will get my magical device sooner rather than later.

I have just talked to Apple in their Live Chat feature, and according to the person I spoke to, “all orders will be shipped in the order they are received in.” Yayyy. Let’s hope this translates into early shipping!
Ordered mine March 15th and I just got the notification that it shipped today to be delivered by the 7th. Yesterday it wasn’t supposed to ship until April 19th. Seems like they’re getting back on track inventory-wise.
Ordered mine the 25th (In Australia) Black 32GB Wifi + 3G Delivery time is the 21st but this morning it says Prepared for shipment. Hopefully that means I will get it before i leave the country for 3 weeks on the 19th >.<

Wow…really?! That is really great then. I think after this week Apple will catch all up, and move dates again. *fingers crossed*
I ordered mine on March 21st, based on the Order Acknowledgement e-mail I received, it states; Ships April 25, Delivers April 28, 2011.
But when I actually click on the Order number, it takes me to the Apple Store, Order Details, and says: Ships April 21, Delivers Apr 25, 2011.
And then again, when I called Apple directly, he said the ship date was moved up to April 14!!

I ordered the ipad 2 from the online Apple store on March 18th. It is not expected to ship until April 22, arriving in Eugene, Oregon on the 26th of April. That is almost 5 weeks, and I have another order pending at the “Mac” store here that was placed on March 14. No sign of that either. Who knows when they will come in. First one in, I will keep. Second order I will cancel.
ordered mine on March 25th when it was released in Canada from apple.com. So far I have received the cover and the video cable but my iPad has yet to be shipped. Expected date for delivery is April 29th.
Decided I wanted an iPad 2 on march 25th. Walked into local micro center store. Picked it up off the shelf. Payed and brought it home. No wait. No line. Just iPad 2s. I suggest looking in places other than apple stores or best buy or target. There are other apple dealers.. Even wal mart shows having some in stock on the shelf.

i ordered mine on march 25th in canada. i just got an email today saying it shipped. i went to the fedex website to see its progress and the site said that it will ship this thursday. it left some city in china at 2:54amEST. do you think i will actually get it on thursday?
I ordered mine 4/8 with ship date 4/29 and delivery date 5/3. I’m hoping I’m one of those that has a 12 day early delivery! I would get it this week if it came 12 days early!
Looks like to me they expect a shipment at the apple store around the 22nd and they will fill all the orders they can.

Well I ordered mine from Oxley Wow shop over three weeks ago and it still hasnt come in. I ordered the 16g and it was in the next day then I changed it to a 32g and that was 3 weeks ago. What a load of crap and here is more. “Apparently” there was a fire in one of their shops and that is why they are late. Crap coming from Wow Staff at Oxley brisbane store
