If you’re up right this second, there can only be one possible reason: to order the iPad 2. As you can see from the image above, iPad 2’s went up for order a little before 1AM PT / 4AM ET. All models came with an estimated 3-5 business days shipping delay, and there is no option to get overnight shipping: free shipping is the only option.
The only problem? Seconds after making the above order, the order page appears to be down again. Was 3-5 business days delivery just a technical blip, and will the iPad 2 come back up sometime soon with a more aggressive shipping date? Or is Apple already sold out? (Edit: Nope! Back up again, with the same 3-5 business days estimate!)
We’ll keep you updated. Anyone grab their iPad 2 yet? Which one’d you end up ordering and why?

Yes, I ordered shortly before 3AM central time. I received a confirmation email and everything. I’m really hope they up the shipping. Right now it shows the same as the above screen shot..
That’s my hopes of ordering one and having it delivered here in the UK gone. Not really any point, say for instance my US address didn’t receive it until 3-4 days, then add 4-5 days for shipping to the UK, I may as well just hold on for the 25th over here. Ah well

yep, black 16gb with green smart cover..sucks no quicker shipping..but at least i was able to order!
Mine took like twenty or thirty minutes or so. If you have a confirmation number, you should be fine.

I ordered the iPad 2 online. I printed my order and it has a ship date of 3 to 5 days. About 5 or so minutes later I got an acknowledgement from Apple that the EST ship date is March 18 to the 25th. … So which is it 3 to 5 days or 2 weeks???
I begining to wonder if I shouldn’t of braved the Store lines especially if I am going to have to wait 2 weeks. I just assumed that I would get it on Monday or Tuesday the 14th or 15th.
Check your ack again, mine said’s, “delivers by March 18 to 25th” rather than ships.
It will take about 3 to 5 days to ship, then you have to wait up to the 25th to get the item from the China warehouse
I got my order in at 12:50 AM PST. It now says my smart cover is prepared for shipment but the iPad (like everyone else) ships in 3-5 business days, delivers Mar 18-25. That delivery date is wide. I tracked my iPad 1 on its way from China. I’ll probably do the same. I sold my iPad 1 on Ebay last weekend and am suffering withdrawals (I know get a life!)
I may mosey over to Target after work and check stock….
Ordered a 32g WiFi @3:50 am EST. Went right through; 3-5 shipping. Took about 10 minutes to receive the email confirmation.
ordered the white 64gb ipad and 2 covers at 1:01am, 1 min. after they started taking orders. the covers said 1-3 business, delivery between mar 15-17. The ipad said 3-5 business days, delivery between mar 18-25. Free shipping only no option for speedy delivery. also no option to finance.

I ordered the white 64gb WiFi and 3G iPad with orange cover and camera connection cable at 12:55am. Was surprised ordering was already available.
Delivery estimate for the iPad is 18-25 March, the accessories ship earlier, the cable is being prepared for shipment right now.

I ordered mine from the AT&T website, free 2 day shipping and it says I should have it in 3-5 days. I called cust svc and the guy actually told me I would have it in two days so I’m hoping Monday. Plus, it was $6 cheaper after tax because no recycling fee was charged.
