Christmas came early this morning for jailbreakers who have been waiting for iOS 7 to be cracked. Today the Evad3rs, the same group of hackers behind the iOS 6 jailbreak, released the full iOS 7 untethered jailbreak to everyone’s surprise.
Evasi0n7 is available now for free, but here’s why you should wait to jailbreak your iOS 7 device:
It’s super buggy! The Evad3rs didn’t notify any jailbreak developers, including the creator of Cydia, that they were releasing their iOS 7 jailbreak this weekend, so hardly Cydia tweaks (which is normally the reason you jailbreak in the first place) are compatible. Jailbreakers, including developers who make Cydia tweaks, have been warning others to stay away.
Evasi0n is capable of jailbreaking any iPhone, iPad or iPod running iOS 7.0-7.0.4. If you do want to take the plunge and jailbreak now, it’s recommended that you backup your device in iTunes and turn off your passcode lock in case something goes wrong.
Until the jailbreak is stable with Cydia, we can’t recommend installing it for most users. We’ll let you know when it’s safe. The Evad3rs have promised to explain the issues surrounding this messy release in the near future.

If you manage to install Cydia on your home screen, relax and wait for packages to be updated or you’ll find yourself in boot loops.

*Every* tweak does use Mobile Substrate. Stay away from the jailbreak for a bit until a fix/update is available.

Do not jailbreak your device if it has been OTA-updated. Do not install anything from Cydia if you’ve just jailbroken. Wait for the update!

The main reason not to jailbreak is that it comes with Chinese software and it sends unknown data to an unknown company in China. Be aware!
How do you know this? Is there somewhere that info about this “Chinese software” is listed or are you just making stuff?

Only if Evasi0n7 website detected you are accessing from China, then you will be redirected to download a “special version” of Evasi0n7, with mandatory installation of “TaiG” app. TaiG app is like a Chinese version of Cydia, but it also sends user information to some unknown companies in China. And the TaiG app can not be removed (if you did so, the Cydia will also be unusable.)
Because TaiG also provides tons of piracy apps, Evasi0n7 had since removed the app last night.
The developer of TaiG had paid Evasi0n team a lot of money to get their app included in Evasi0n7. This makes me doubt the security and reliability of any future jailbreaking software from the Evasi0n team. They are becoming less and less trustworthy.
