As a Christmas present, hackers over the holidays released two great jailbreaks. For the majority out there running iOS 7, Team Evad3rs released the much heralded Evasi0n jailbreak, while for the holdouts, p0sixninja released a working jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3, 6.1.4 and 6.1.5 called p0sixspwn. It’s the latter jailbreak which has been updated today with support for OS X Snow Leopard, and numeorus bug fixes.

Developed by famed jailbreak hackers iH8snow, winocm, and SquiffyPwn, the p0sixspwn jailbreak allowed users on both Windows and Mac PCs to hack the last three Forstall-approved versions of iOS 6. Since many have opted to stick with iOS 6, either because they disapprove of Jony Ive’s changes to iOS or because iOS 7 slows down their older device, this jailbreak brings tweak support to a lot of people who were otherwise left out in the cold by p0sixspwn.

But p0sixspwn had some bugs, as many public jailbreaks do, which the team has squished in the latest p0sixspwn 1.0.5 update. In addition, users on Snow Leopard — the last version of OS X to support single-core Intel chips — now are able to use the software to jailbreak their devices.

If you have a device you’d like to jailbreak, p0sixspwn 1.0.5 for Mac and Windows can be downloaded for free here.
