In two days, Facebook will gather a bunch of people into a room and Mark Zuckerburg will tell them all about Facebook’s new smartphone. It’s made by HTC. It’s got a custom build of Android, and tons of Facebook integration. And it looks pretty boring.
Evleaks just posted a picture of what is probably Facebook’s smartphone. It’s called the HTC First, and it looks like millions of other Android handsets on the market. No details on the specs, but I’m sure Mark will give us an ear full on Thursday.

This is one of the most ignorant things I have ever read from a “Tech” blog, just looking at one picture of the phone from the front and its boring? Looks alot like the iPhone to me, I guess they are boring too? wait wait I know what will make it more exciting, throw a half eaten apple on it, THEN you’ll jizz in your paints for it…
Buster – if you’re serious about being a writer, stop giving your opinion on every story you write. Just the facts. We can make up our own minds about what’s boring, and what’s not. Try and be more professional.
So now those who get this phone will be able to display their lives out to everyone? As is Facebook is intrusive and bares your world – now you Facebook will send you ads and suggestions to buy stuff based on your location. Great.
In Sept of 2012 Mark Zuckerberg said, “The phone just doesn’t make any sense,” “It just doesn’t move the needle for us.” 6 months later we have a smart phone. Either Facebook completely changed their minds and were able to contract with HTC and cook up a smart phone in less than 6 months, or Zuckerberg was flat out lying. I’m inclined to believe the latter.
This guy is totally classless never mind the billions he made at the IPO where he managed to blow the value up of his company to stratospheric heights that bore no justification. Wish Steve Jobs were still around to give this guy some advice cause Apple would just say “no comment” they wouldn’t flat out lie.
Did he write anything…??? I thought he just copied what someone else wrote…!!!
