People who quilt are also nerdy. Or nerdy people also quilt. Either way, there’s some bitchin’ stitchin’ happening — as per this compendium of Dr. Who and Harry Potter blankets — but we especially like these Apple-related sewing projects. Quilt different!

iNerd Mini Quilt

@Liz Harvatine.

Liz Harvatine made this for her husband as kind of an emblem for the North Hollywood Classic Mac Collectors Club of which he is one of two proud members. It’s a nice banner to be under…

Quilted iPad Cover

@Beth Novak.

Harvatine says she was inspired by Beth Novak’s spirited take on an iPad case. The quilted Apple rainbow logo on a denim background gives it a nice retro/modern touch.

The Mac T-shirt Quilt

This homemade quilt, auctioned on eBay for around $400, took 20 Apple-related t-shirts to make. Definitely better  than having all those collector tees in boxes or worn every now and then.

Apple iMats

These handmade coasters sport Apple logos — including rainbow, polkadot, leopard print and classic white on black fabric background. Too cute to put a cup of cappuccino on? At $7 on Etsy, they’re machine washable, so go for it.
