Formula 1 racing returns the United States this weekend with the F1 Miami Grand Prix on Apple TV. And Apple decided to pull out all the stops to make sure fans experience it not just on Apple TV, but across multiple platforms, the iPhone giant said Wednesday.

The Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2026 streams exclusively on Apple TV beginning Friday. You can see every session — from Practice through Sunday’s race — live and on demand. And there’s a lot more going on, too.

F1 Miami Grand Prix on Apple TV: A premium viewing experience

Apple TV subscribers get far more than a basic broadcast with this weekend’s F1 Miami Grand Prix, Apple said in a press release. As F1’s exclusive U.S. broadcast partner, it has pulled out the stops on coverage so far this racing season. And it looks to be accelerating.

Miami coverage includes English and Spanish commentary plus access to up to 30 additional live feeds per session. Among them:

  • A Driver Tracker offering a bird’s-eye view of the circuit.
  • Live session timing and data
  • A mixed onboard camera feed that auto-switches as the action unfolds.
  • A Podium feed that stays locked on the top three drivers throughout each race.

For those who want to build their own broadcast booth, a fully customizable Multiview feature lets viewers watch up to four live feeds at once. One-tap preconfigured layouts for every team are also available for those who prefer a ready-made setup. Several Apple devices support Multiview — Apple TV 4K, iPad and Vision Pro.

New original shows debut this weekend

Two new original series arrive alongside the Miami weekend. Circuits in Focus premiered Wednesday. It pairs 2016 F1 World Champion Nico Rosberg with content creator and driver Emelia Hartford for a track-by-track preview show. Using EA Sports F1 25, the pair break down strategy and key braking points before each race weekend gets underway.

Additionally, the new show The POV offers a post-race debrief through the eyes of former Red Bull Racing senior technician Calum Nicholas and engineer Christina Roki. They unpack overtakes, strategy calls and turning points with a fan-first sensibility, Apple said.

Apple’s wider platform plays a starring role this weekend too:

  • Apple Maps users get a detailed 3D circuit map of the Miami International Autodrome, complete with turn numbers, grandstand locations and custom landmarks including the F1 pit building and the Hard Rock Beach Club. If you’re going to attend, find Miami’s best places to eat, shop and explore with A Local’s Guide to Miami F1 Race Week.

  • Apple News is offering personalized race coverage and a special in-app Miami Grand Prix experience that links directly to Apple TV.
  • Apple Music offers a new Miami-centric DJ mix from Panamanian artist Dímelo Flow (live now). And Cadillac driver Sergio “Checo” Pérez has shared a personal driving playlist. Also give a listen to the updated Formula 1: Sounds of the Circuit playlist and check out Apple Music’s dedicated space for more playlists by race drivers, DJ mixes and more.

Big screens, live events and Tubi altcasts round out the weekend

Fans who want to watch in a crowd have several options. Apple hosts a full day of programming at Apple Aventura in Miami on Friday. It features live practice sessions on oversized screens, a Dímelo Flow performance and an Apple Books talk with Formula 1 figure Susie Wolff about her memoir, Driven. Register for the talk here.

The Miami Grand Prix race itself will also be broadcast on more than 50 IMAX screens across the country. Apple will set up a free public screening in Times Square.

Free streaming service Tubi also enters the mix for the first time. It hosts a creator-led altcast called The Fast Lane: Miami with YouTuber Michelle Khare, Jeremiah Burton and F1 analyst Scott Mansell.

In November 2019, Apple TV “became the first all-original streaming service to launch around the world, and has premiered more original hits and received more award recognitions faster than any other streaming service.
