The most popular consumer drone on the market just got a huge upgrade that gives it even more mass appeal for budding droners and video creators.

DJI unveiled its new folding drone, the Mavic Air, today. A blend of the company’s two most popular drones, the Mavic Pro and the Spark, it also packs new features you won’t find on DJI’s other drones.

Take a closer look:

The tiny DJI Mavic Air packs a sleek, folding design that makes it extremely portable. It has the same 4K camera as the Mavic Pro: 1/2.3-inch sensor, 4K video at 30FPS or 1080p at up to 120FPS. It also shoots 12-megapixel stills and has a protective housing around the gimbal so it doesn’t get damaged as easily.

With an all-new controller and improved antenna design, the Mavic Air promises a flight distance of more than 2 miles with 21 minutes of flight time. A number of intelligent flight modes make getting started super-easy. And, like the Spark, you can control the new drone with gestures.

The Mavic Air comes in three colors: Arctic White, Onyx Black and Flame Red.

Pricing on the Mavic Air starts at $799 for the baseline package, or $999 for the Fly More Combo, which comes with more batteries and propellors. Preorders start today, with units shipping on January 28.
