Capture Camera Clip v2 Hangs Your Camera From Your Backpack Straps, Belt, Anywhere

If you’re already wearing a backpack, then the best place to hang your camera might be from one of its straps. That’s the idea behind the Capture Camera Clip v2, a follow up to the runaway success that was the Capture Camera Clip.

V2 is everything you’d expect in a second-gen product. It’s lighter, slimmer, looks better and adds features. It also now comes in regular and Pro versions, which means people like me with less demanding needs can save a few pennies and get a lighter device.

But what is it? The Capture Camera Clip comes in two main parts. There’s a plate that screws into the trips hole of your camera, plus a mounting plate that opens up and clamps onto your belt, or the strap of a backpack, or pretty much anywhere. You could even – if recursiveness is your thing – clip it to the strap of a camera.

It also holds the camera somewhat rigidly, with no swinging around. It’s similar to things like the SpiderHolster, only it does a lot more, and had a neat plate instead of a long pin poking out.

The clip also mounts onto quick-release tripod heads, and is even Arca-Swiss compatible (if you don’t know what that means then don’t bother finding out), and v2 adds a GoPro mount to put your camera up on your chest for a nipple’s-eye view of the action.

The old Capture Camera Clip is still available for $80, or you can pony up to Kickstarter to get one of the new ones in September, starting at $50 for the standard kit and $65 for the pro.
