If you ever had an Amiga, prepare to squeal: the Bitmap Brothers have just announced that, in association with Tower Studios and Vivid Games, they will be bringing their famous Amiga game Speedball 2 to iOS.
What’s Speedball? Only the best game ever: an incredible video game merging between handball and ice hockey set in a wonderfully violent cyberpunk world. It last saw a rerelease back in 2007 on Xbox Live, but the Bitmap Brothers promise the iOS port is even better, in order to properly celebrate the 20th anniversary of Speedball 2‘s release.
The Bitmap Brothers are promising multiplayer in the iOS version, which is plenty of reason to be excited… but they’re also swearing that this is only the first port of their classic Amiga games to come to iOS. Xenon, Cadaver or The Chaos Engine on my iPhone? I can’t wait.
