Electronics retail giant Best Buy is throwing its weight behind the iPhone 4S, offering the entire family of Apple handsets, along with deals on previous versions, starting Friday, Oct. 14. All three memory configurations: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB along with black and white models will be available.
Along with the iPhone 4S at $199, $299 and $399, depending on memory, Best Buy will also offer consumers a choice of carriers: AT&T, Verizon Wireless or the newly-added Sprint.
For those buyers looking to pick up an inexpensive iPhone, the retailer also plans to sell the 8Gb previous-generation iPhone 4 for $99 with a two-year contract. Additionally, Best Buy reportedly is selling the 8GB iPhone 3GS for $49, although Apple announced the handset would be free.
Despite an initial sour reaction due to high hopes fueled by rumors, the iPhone 4S is selling remarkably well. Apple announced pre-orders of the new handset topped 1 million on the first day while new Apple partner Sprint sold out of the 16GB 4S in just a few days.

The whole iphone family includes the unlocked version, which in the case of best buy, is not available…
I bought my iPhone 4 from Best Buy last year and I’m getting the 4s from them again, not only i avoid the waiting for hours in a store, I also with get points in my Best Buy card and in top of that when I pre-order the 4s (on Tue, 4 days after the release) I recieved an email that I would get a set of iFrogz earbuds for free.
Last year I was in and out with my new phone in about 30 min. there was no waiting at all.
Free iFrogz earbuds for free, huh?
There, I fixed it. My bad.
If this is true, how come none of the stores in my entire state got 64gbs?
