We kid, of course. There are many reasons why you might want the last-gen iPhone at such a bargain price, if only for the mere bragging rights of it all: usually, only pickpockets, Steve Jobs and thieves can claim to have gotten an iPhone for nothing.
There are some provisos, of course.
For one, it’s a one unit per customer deal for one day only: Friday, December 10th. That said, the deal is open to new lines, additional lines and qualified upgrade customers. It’s an instant rebate deal, so you won’t have to lick an envelope or mail off a voucher. Better, Best Buy reportedly has units enough that even the most cynical warriors of their Geek Squad do not foresee a bloodbath.
Not a bad deal at all, if you don’t mind holding back a gen.
