Bad Piggies, the super popular puzzle game from Rovio, has gone free for the first time since it hit the App Store last September. It’s thought to be thanks to the App Store’s App of the Week promotion, so you have seven days to download the game before its price goes back up.
Apple is yet to update the App Store’s featured banners to show Bad Piggies as App of the Week, but that’s certainly the case according to the reports. If you’re unfamiliar with the game (seriously, where have you been?) it’s a spin-off from Angry Birds in which you join forces with the pigs instead of the birds.
Rather than trying to claim back the eggs, you’re helping the pigs steal them by crafting all kinds of crazy flying machines that’ll help them make their way around each level. There are over 140 levels to beat, plus more to come in future updates — and as is the case with Angry Birds, those updates come frequently.
If you’ve yet to pick up Bad Piggies for iOS, then, now’s your chance to grab it free. The iPhone version normally costs 99¢, while the iPad version normally costs $2.99.
