Apple’s online store just went down, and it looks like the Cupertino company has switched out the yellow sticky note of old for a cleaner, fresher look. It’s very simplistic and contains plenty of linen, like the rest of Apple’s recent UI designs.
We’re fans of the new “We’ll be back” design. What do you think?

Anybody recalls when was it that Apple started overusing textures in everything?
Perhaps in anticipation of a Macbook refresh? (Wishful thinking)
Jesus Christ! What’s with the Photoshop over emboss in “We’ll be back”? Suddenly Apple looks scary without Steve Jobs.
I hope it’s a new store layout. If they have updated the we’ll be back page then maybe it’s a sign of things to come.
